Fall 2016 Football Season

Registration closes in 2 days

Football is a GCYL (Greater Catholic Youth League) sponsored sport. The GCYL includes all Catholic youth football programs in the city. The league has programs for boys K-8 grades. In K-2, they have the Bandit program with special rules focused on learning the game. The league programs normally have teams at the 3rd & 4th grade, Pony; 5th & 6th grade, Reserve; and 7th & 8th grade, Varsity levels.

St. Vincent Ferrer and Good Shepherd parishes are part of the Rocks football program. If your child attends either of these parishes, please email Gina Lyon ( for the booster fee reimbursement.

Fall Cross Country 2016

Registration closes in 7 days

This is a CYO Fall Sport for 5th and 8th grade boys and girls in collaboration with many of our other local parishes. Cross-Country is racing a specific distance depending upon the grade of the runner thru a marked course over grass, dirt, or mulch in an open field, thru wooded trails and over creeks, or around a school’s campus. The best thing about this sport: “there is no bench” everyone participates. Other noticeable features include a growth in one’s self confidence, self-esteem, and spiritual development. We highly focus on the significance of our faith in building the character of our runners.

Golf 2016 Season

Registration is closed

Boys and girls entering grades 6-8 during the fall 2016-17 school year are encouraged to participate. The team is divided into two groups. The green team is designed for more experienced golfers and will participate against golfers of similar skills form other schools. The white team is for recreational golfers looking to get started in the sport of golf. The season runs from mid-August to mid-October. Golfers participate in weekly after school matches against other area schools. Courses include Sharon Woods, Meadow Links, Little Miami and Reeves, just to name a few.

Golfers will participate in one or two evaluation rounds in the July time frame to determine which team is most appropriate for each student. The purpose of creating two teams is to give players a chance to compete at a level appropriate to their skill set. We encourage any player that is willing to work on his/her game to join this team.
